Who is behind Aristoqle
Aristoqle is developed by Smak kolektiv d.o.o. in Zagreb, Croatia.
SMAK is a creative collective working in the interpretation of cultural and natural heritage through design, illustration, interactive promotional materials and education for children and adults.
We bring together designers, illustrators, writers and experts from many fields: biology, archaeology, art history, psychology… We are always looking for new ideas, new collaborators and new approaches.
We work with public institutions and private companies that choose to promote themselves through educational programmes and the lasting recognition that comes from a positive relationship with the public.

Why we do this
In our 15 years of working with institutions that care for natural and cultural heritage, we have seen that they hold a wealth of expert-reviewed knowledge in catalogues, monographs, guides and texts about collections and exhibitions. Only a fraction reaches visitors.
The gap is not content but capacity: adapting material for different audiences, translating and narrating it, and making it engaging on screen all take time.
Aristoqle makes that work manageable for one person while expert and editorial control remains with the institution.
